Films: Dreamscape (1984)
Alias: Bob Blair, Tommy Ray Glatman
Type: Mystical
Location: Haunted home/Civilized area
Height/Weight: That of average humans.
Affiliation: Evil
Summary: After the horror of Freddy, we should honestly be counting our lucky stars that this incident involving dream-murder isn't nearly as violent or severe. Although one must take into consideration how much was at stake for the world at large...
History: As prophesized by the Malaysian Senoi, there are now those who have the power to enter the subconscious of a sleeping person, and interact with their dreams. Some would use this just for fun and a little self-indulgence. But then things get political. Bob Blair understands the scope of this power, and has enlisted local psychopath Tommy Ray to infect the dreams of the President himself and kill him.
Notable Kills: Tommy rips out a police officer's heart in the real world.
Final Fate: Tommy, even while as a horrific snake monster, is distracted by a good Dreamscaper turning into his dead dad before the President shanks him. Bob then follows suit in a dream of his own.
Powers/Abilities: Shapeshifting, killing people by killing them in their dreams.
Weakness: Anything conventional, and they die for real if they die in dreams.
Scariness Factor: 3.5-Alas, the concept of killing via dreams has been done before, even if it is still a frightening idea. Thing is, that specific serial killer from another film was practically unkillable, unlike the assassins seen here.
Trivia: -This film was conceived all the way in 1981, based on a novel called "The Dream Master".
-Tommy was going to be played by Kevin Costner, but I don't think we could take yet another monotone performance from the guy.
